FinTech Innovation Awards: Meet the Judges

The FinTech Innovation Awards are now in their second year, and the judging panel is only getting more illustrious. Meet a few of the FinTech wonders selecting this year’s winners.

Chaired by Dan Cobley, this year’s prestigious line-up of judges comprises leading authorities and specialists from across the FinTech sector. Find out more about a few of our judges below.

Eileen Burbidge, Partner at Passion Capital

Eileen is a Partner at Passion Capital, an early-stage VC fund based in London. She’s also Chair of Tech City UK and serves on the Prime Minister David Cameron’s Business Advisory Group; as HM Treasury’s Special Envoy for FinTech, appointed by the Chancellor George Osborne; and Tech Ambassador for the Mayor of London Boris Johnson.

James Elias, Marketing Director at Google UK

James heads up marketing for Google in the UK, helping consumers and large and small businesses get the most out of the web. He is responsible for driving revenue growth and product usage as well as ensuring that Google remains a loved and trusted brand in the UK.

Jerome Le Luel, Global CRO at Funding Circle

Jerome recently joined Funding Circle as Global Chief Risk Officer. His previous role was with Barclays, where he headed up risk analytics globally across investment, corporate and retail banking, in charge of all statistical modelling, capital computation and quantitative analytics. Previously, Jerome was CRO for Barclaycard and spent 12 years with credit cards specialist Capital One, joining the Europe venture at start-up stage and covering various leadership roles in risk, marketing and analytics.

Peter Plumb, CEO at MoneySuperMarket Group

Peter has been the CEO of MoneySuperMarket Group since 2009. He was previously UK managing director of dunnhumby Limited. Before that, he was general manager of Europe Disney Consumer Products, international director of Dyson Appliances Limited and held senior commercial roles at PepsiCo International.

Peter has an MBA from IMD in Switzerland and a BSC Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham. He is also a non-executive director The Co-operative Group Limited.
