A Paysafe-commissioned whitepaper states that businesses are increasingly looking for integrated payments solutions to meet rising customer expectations, as retail continues to shift towards omnichannel models.
To achieve this, the report states: “Businesses are increasingly looking towards purpose built platforms – developed by VARs, SaaS (Software as a Service) providers and ISVs (independent service vendors) to provide full-service software solutions that incorporate payments capabilities alongside other business-critical tools, such as accounting, membership management, customer relationship management (CRM) and more.”
The report, which was published earlier this month, outlines the factors that ISVs and VARs need to consider when partnering with an integrated payments solution, including the ease of onboarding new merchants, the ability to offer an omnichannel payments service, the strength of the payment gateway, the customisability of the platform, the solution’s strength in combatting fraud and security issues, and the level of support offered alongside the platform.
The whitepaper concludes that vendors who can provide merchants with a quality payments service that remains agile enough to continue meeting customers’ expectations as technology trends continue to develop.
In an encouraging sign-off to vendors, the whitepaper states: “The payments landscape does not stand still, and as such merchants will always require turnkey solutions that allow them to keep up with the shifting needs of their customers. For developers who have the foresight to identify these behavioural shifts, and the technological expertise to capitalise on them, integrated payments present an attractive proposition.”
