Billtrust appoints new CFO

New Jersey-based fintech firm Billtrust announced on February 20 that they appointed Mark Shifke as its new CFO.

“I am pleased to join Billtrust’s leadership team and look forward to guiding Billtrust’s financial operations as they continue to transform the accounts receivables landscape for the world’s leading brands,” said Shifke.

Most recently Shifke was the CFO of Green Dot, also holding general manager, government programs and vice president, special projects positions at the fintech firm.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO and Founder Flint Lane said: “We’re thrilled to have Mark join the Billtrust team. Mark is a world-class CFO and the perfect individual to help guide Billtrust into the future.”

LedgerX appoints Zach Dexter as CEO and president

New York-based LedgerX announced on February 11 that co-founder Zach Dexter has been appointed as chief executive officer and president, effective March 1.

Dexter will succeed interim CEO Larry Thompson, who will remain with the company serving as chairman.

Since Dexter joined the company, LedgerX has expended access to bitcoin options by upgrading the company’s mini contract offerings, and rolled out a new mobile-friendly website

Former CEO Thompson said about the appointment: “Our board is very supportive of Zach’s bold plans to grow the LedgerX platform, which will include a greater emphasis on products designed for individual traders who seek the stability and safety of a fully regulated US exchange. We’re excited to see Zach back and primed to fulfill LedgerX’s original mission.”

Crypto trading platform ShapeShift Appoints Lisa Loud As COO

Switzerland-based ShapeShift announced on February 25 that Lisa Loud has been appointed as the company’s new chief operating officer.

Loud is a former senior engineer at California-based computer technology corporation Oracle and multinational corporation Apple. She has also led executive-level roles at PayPal and BitMex.

ShapeShift CEO and co-founder Erik Voorhees has confirmed that Loud’s experience in data-driven customer acquisition, engineering and product iteration makes her a valuable addition to the team.

“As we move into the next phase of our growth, we’ll look to Lisa’s experience with businesses like Apple, PayPal and BitMex to build the world’s greatest crypto company,” he said.
