Concardis develops cutting-edge payment platform

  • Payment service provider presents new comprehensive solution for e- and m-commerce at dmexco: Concardis stand, Hall 7/B043
  • Key features: real-time review, omnichannel option, mobile first with new in-app payment library and fully responsive design – even in the merchant back end
  • Constant development in the market with planned short release intervals

‘For the first time, merchants in German-speaking Europe can now keep an eye on their payment transactions with real-time review. In doing so, the new Concardis Payengine simplifies, among other things, the process of accepting payments in advance and via invoice. This saves merchants time and effort. And the consumer benefits from shorter delivery times with the same payment convenience they’re accustomed to,’ says Christoph Jung, Vice President of the eCommerce Competence Center at Concardis. ‘The new Payengine marks the first time that the various rules of the individual payment methods have been brought together into a single and uniform structure. We make them available to merchants and developers via a RESTful API, which greatly reduces complexity and simplifies the interfaces with downstream service providers,’ says Jung.

For payments in e- and m-commerce, Concardis relies on a technological concept which enables new solutions: in addition to real-time review, the new comprehensive solution also offers cutting-edge mobile payment functions for online sales. Newly developed interface software ensures seamless in-app payment through the smooth integration of all common payment methods in mobile applications. And the entire e-commerce platform was optimised with regard to mobile end devices, which allows merchants to manage their payments using their smartphone or tablet – at any time.

‘With the new Concardis Payengine, we have developed a platform whose technical architecture is entirely designed with a view to the future of payment. It is flexible and grows along with our customers’ businesses. Our e-commerce solution is part of our rapid growth to the leading full-service payment service provider in German-speaking Europe. We want to offer clever solutions across all sectors that increase the added value for our customers,’ says Marcus W. Mosen, CEO of Concardis.

The payment service provider plans to have short intervals between update releases for the new Payengine. The platform is expected to be connected to the company’s own POS network by 2018, which would enable stationary integration of POS operations. From this point, users of the e-commerce platform enter the world of true omnichannel sales. Concardis Payengine already brings e- and m-commerce together into one invoicing channel.

The specialists of the eCommerce Competence Center at Concardis will be presenting the individual features of the e-commerce platform on 13 and 14 September at the digital marketing exposition and conference (dmexco) in Cologne. Additionally, concrete examples of applications will be presented together with customers and partners.
