“Fintech is fantastic as it is, but it is not a panacea,” said Mark Aldred, banking specialist at ATM software firm, Auriga.

The remarks came in response to the Access to Cash review which revealed that 8m UK consumers would struggle in a cashless society.

And fintech is not doing enough to bring that huge consumer banking population onboard the most advanced, leading edge protocols.

Elsewhere, Sebastien Slim, director of Europe and Americas at HPS, reveals that SCA is not talked about as much as GDPR and 3DS Secure in client conversations, despite the September 14 deadline.
