Klarna and ekmPowershop

Swedish payments company Klarna has significantly boosted its foothold in the UK through a partnership with digital storefront company ekmPowershop, which claims to power one in five online stores in the country.

Through the deal Klarna’s digital check-out will be available to the 30,000 small businesses that are currently using the firm’s platform. ekmPowershop, founded back in 2002 says it is signing up new sites at a rate of 1,000 per month. Available in six countries, its clients range from small merchants to bigger fish like The Mirror, O2 and Lotus.
